5 Hidden Winter Escapes Over 25°C

Writing this blog so I can get a little vitamin D at least virtually and maybe help those lucky enough to escape this endless winter. Holidays are over, but winter is still stubbornly here. So Sancy and I decided to find your ultimate winter escape but this time, we went a bit deeper to uncover some real hidden treasures.

Because when I say I need rest, I mean real rest. Not going out and hearing your own country people everywhere or even worse, running into my old high school friends. I’m not antisocial, but come on, you get it. I want something beyond the same old Insta-famous spots.

So, where did we go? Here are five secret spots where it’s currently 25°C and above perfect for some serious R&R, sunshine, and maybe a little digital detox.

1. Salalah, Oman

Winter in Salalah feels like summer in disguise.
Warm beaches, coconut palms, and the soft rhythm of the Arabian Sea.
Swimwear isn’t a statement here it’s just part of the day. Floating, wandering, watching the sun disappear behind the cliffs.

2. Nosy Be, Madagascar

Warm Indian Ocean water, gentle tropical heat, and small islands scattered with fishing villages.
Quiet beaches, slow mornings, no pressure to perform.
A place where doing less feels right  and Sancy on your body feels completely natural.

3. Santa Maria, Cape Verde

Winter that feels like a permanent golden hour.
The sea stays around 26–27°C, trade winds keep everything light, and the sand is soft under your feet.
Bikini season here is effortless worn, lived-in, sun-soaked.

4. Diani Beach, Kenya

White sand, warm turquoise water, palm trees moving with the breeze.
Even in December, the days invite swimming, paddling, and long barefoot afternoons, with Sancy made for heat, salt, and slow time.

5. Sihanoukville, Cambodia (Outer Islands)

Far from the mainland noise, islands like Koh Rong and Koh Rong Sanloem stay warm and quiet.
The water is inviting, the air is tropical, and winter simply fades away.

I wish I could just teleport myself to one of these beaches. Until then, I’m letting myself dream a little collecting warmth, saving places, imagining slow mornings by the sea. I’ve already chosen my favorite and tucked it away as a wish destination, waiting for the right moment.  Warm water, sun on skin, nothing urgent to do. And when that moment comes, Sancy moves with me quietly, effortlessly, exactly where it belongs.
Where would you go, if winter didn’t get a say?

With love,

Angela
